“All thy children shall be taught of the Lord; and great shall be the peace of thy children.” Isaiah 54:13

Sunday School

Our Sunday School welcomes all children and young people up to the age of 20.

Classes are held during the church service at 10:30 a.m.

What do students learn in the Christian Science Sunday School?

The teaching in the Sunday School is Bible-based, exploring the timeless spiritual truths and values of the Bible.  Students learn how a spiritual view of life is practical—at school, in sports, with friends and others, and in every aspect of life.   The curriculum focuses on God’s love for us and our love for God and others, and includes moral values based on the Bible’s teachings, such as kindness, respect, fairness, and honesty.

Among the early lessons learned are the Ten Commandments, the Lord’s Prayer, and the Sermon on the Mount.  Later lessons are based on the Christian Science Quarterly Bible Lessons.  Examples of weekly topics are:  God, Sacrament, Christ Jesus, Spirit, Truth, Love, Mind, God the Only Cause and Creator.  The Sunday School classes are discovery-oriented and focus on applying the topics and ideas to the students’ own lives.

Childcare

We provide childcare for children too young for Sunday School.  They enjoy supervised play in our children’s room during Sunday services, Wednesday evening meetings and Christian Science lectures.
